Paul Furlong

CSA Director of Coaching

A native of London, England, Paul was brought up through the youth ranks at Swindon Town FC (English Football League) and went on to play semi-professional (Swindon Supermarine) and collegiate soccer at the University of Greenwich in London. He started his coaching Career with Charlton Athletic FC where he worked within the community program as a head coach. After attending English FA coaching schools, Paul worked with Swindon Town FC and Reading FC before coming to the States in 2001 to work with Major League Soccer. In September 2002 he joined the Collierville Soccer Association on a full time basis as Director of Player Development and took on the role of Director of Coaching in January 2005. Paul now oversees the operation of all CSA programs and runs the Next Step and Next Step Elite Soccer Schools throughout the summer. Paul is also a member of the TN State Soccer Coaching Academy Staff. Paul currently holds the NSCAA Premier Diploma and the NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma.

Clint Browne

92 Lady LOBOS

Coach Browne is a native of Birmingham, England and is currently the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Christian Brothers University. Browne previously served as the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Lambuth University in Jackson, TN. During this time, he guided the team to its first ever national ranking. He also served as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Memphis from 1999-2000, an assistant coach at CBU in 1998-1999, and was an assistant with the University of Memphis Men's team during the 1995-1996 seasons. Browne played for U of M, graduating in 1995. He played professionally for the New Orleans Riverboat Gamblers from 1995-1997 serving as team captain each year. Coach Browne is married to the former Kemm McDonald.

 

Jason Chesek

99 Lady LOBOS

Coach Jason started playing soccer when he was 5 years old with the Chicago YMCA. From there he played competitive soccer with the Wauconda Chiefs (a German Club that was based out of the northwest suburbs of Chicago), as a striker for Carmel High School, an Illinois division one state finalist team, and after high school continued to play as a striker for the Wauconda Chiefs on their semi professional team. In the late 90's he was recruited and played striker for the corporate sponsored "Sports Authority" premier team (in the Gold Coast Florida league). He has coached both rec and competitive soccer for CSA and holds a USSF National D license.

 

John Cooke

95 Lady LOBOS / 98 LOBOS

Coach Cooke grew up in Ireland but came to play for Memphis State University in 1985 as a scholarship athlete where he was selected as team MVP in his freshman year and team captain for the following three years. He was also selected as MVP of the 1986 Metro Conference tournament as he led his team to the Conference championship. He played professional soccer for the Memphis Rogues in the SISL and voted to the Eastern All Star team.  He coached two Division 1 state championship teams at the U-16 and U-19  level while coaching for the GSC Fury soccer team.  He's been coaching kids since 1988 and holds a National License from NSCAA and a USSF D License.  He is also a member of the state coach licensing staff.

 

 

Michael Correia

99 Lady LOBOS

Michael grew up in the Memphis area and played for the original First Memphis Soccer Club Kickers program. He’s represented Tennessee at the youth ODP, Men’s Amateur, and Men’s Over 30 level over the years. He also captained Christian Brothers HS, and played collegiate division one for Indiana University, where he played forward for the National Champions in 1988. He played in S. Florida’s premier Gold Coast League in the early ‘90s while coaching as well. Michael coached the ’95 Lady Lobos to a D2 state finalist finish in ’06. He holds a USSF National C License.

Kieron Heblich

91 Lady LOBOS / 94 Lady LOBOS

Kieron is originally from England where he played and coached. He was an apprentice soccer player for Scaborough FC before coming to the United States to play at Meridian Community College. Kieron is the Women’s head coach at Christian Brothers University. He has coached in the schools of excellence in England at Huddersfield Town, Notts County and Bury soccer clubs. Kieron has also coached college at Northeastern State University where he assisted both men’s’ and women’s’ programs. He graduated with a degree in Health and Human Performance. He worked for Major League Soccer camps in Vermont as a Director of Player Development. Kieron holds a NSCAA National Diploma.



Shawn Loth

96 Lady LOBOS / 98 Lady LOBOS / 97 LOBOS

Shawn played college soccer at Christian Brothers University from 1993-1996. He was three times All-Conference, two times All-Region team, and All-American Honorable Mention. After college, he played one season for the A-League Worchester Wildfire and Division III Pro-League Cape Cod Crusaders in 1997. Since then, he has coached club soccer for six years. He also was Goalkeeper Coach for CBU during the 2000-2001 season, and an Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach for University of Memphis men's team for the 2003-2004 season. Shawn holds a NSCAA National Diploma.

 

Falmy Marin

95 Lady LOBOS

Falmy has coached for CSA for 6 years and has been playing soccer for over 20 years. Falmy played D1 in Belize and played for the Belize National Team.  He also played for the Searcy Steels in Arkansas for 3 years.  Falmy holds a National D license.

Steven Medlock

98 LOBOS

Originally from Germantown, Steven played for the Rangers 84 Club Team from 1996 - 2002 during which time the team was nationally ranked in the top 10 and was 5 times State Champions.  Steven played soccer for Western Kentucky University under a full scholarship from 2002 - 2006.  He was selected to the 2003 Missouri Valley Scholar-Athlete Team recognizing top players in the conference with high GPA's.  He played for the Memphis Express from 2002-2005 and for the New Orleans Shell Shockers in 2007.    He coached with the Southern Kentucky Soccer Club from 2003-2005 and was the Assistant Boys Soccer Coach for Germantown High School in the spring of 2007.  Steven holds a degree in Corporate and Organizational Communication from WKU and is currently working on his master's degree in Communications from the University of Memphis.  Steven holds a National E license.

Amy Morrison

93 Lady LOBOS

Amy Morrison is assistant coach for the University of Memphis Lady Tigers soccer team. Morrison previously served as an assistant coach at both Kansas and Texas Tech, and was a coach with the Kansas ODP State team for the last two seasons and also coached a club team, the KCFC Dynamos, in the Kansas City area. A three-year letter winner and a two-time captain for the Jayhawks from 1995-97, she was a member of the inaugural women's soccer squad at Kansas in 1995. Morrison was awarded the National Coaching Diploma in 1998 and the Advanced National Coaching Diploma in 1999 from the National Soccer Coaches Association. Originally a native of Omaha, Nebraska, Morrison received her bachelor's and master's degrees in Exercise Science from Kansas in 1999 and 2004, respectively. She is married to Nic Morrison and the couple resides in Memphis.



Mat Santoro

95 LOBOS

Mat played collegiately for one year at the University of Maryland before transferring to Rowan University in New Jersey.  While at Rowan, he was named all-conference 3 times, all-region twice and was a member of the 1990 Division III National Championship Team.  Mat played professionally in the United States for 4 years before starting his career as a coach.  He was an assistant coach for 4 years at Rowan University where he was the program's primary recruiter and was part of a staff that led Rowan to the Division III Final Four in 2001.  Mat then served as the head women's soccer coach at Davis and Bekins College for 4 years.  Under his coaching, the team set school records for overall wins, conference winds, goals scored and all-conference selections.  He currently is an assistant coach for the University of Memphis men's soccer program.

Dave Simms

Jr. Lady LOBOS

Dave's coaching resume includes experience in both recreational and competitive soccer - coaching from U6 girls through U12 boys. He has served on both CSA recreational and competitive soccer committees, serving as Lobos Committee Chairman, Vice-Chair, and Tournament Director. Coach Simms holds both a USSF National D license and an NSCAA National Youth Diploma.

 

Adam Slater

High School LOBOS / 94 Lady LOBOS / 97 Lady LOBOS

Adam has been involved with Collierville Soccer for over 20 years, 13 as a coach.  He holds an D license.  Adam also holds Level I and II coaching certificates from England.  He also serves as Director of Referees for Collierville.

 

 

Lyndsie Stephens

97 Lady LOBOS / College Soccer Counselor

Lyndsie recently received her Master's Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Memphis where she was a research assistant with the Motor Learning and Sports Psychology professors. She was recruited to play collegiate soccer for the University of Southern Colorado. While there, she coached a select boys' soccer club in Pueblo. She transferred to Arkansas State University and continued her soccer experience for three years there, selected as captain of her team in her senior year. Her coaching experience includes an assistant coach position for Lyon College in Batesville, AR for the men's and women's soccer programs. She also gained experience recruiting for the program. Since the summer of 2006, Lyndsie has been coaching with CSA's competitive soccer program, the LOBOS. She has helped with summer and youth clinics and has been an assistant coach for the '94 Lady LOBOS. She just completed the NSCAA National Coaching Course.

 

Dave Thompson

96 LOBOS / Speed-Agility / Goalkeeper Training

Dave has been with the LOBOS club since it's inception in 1992. He served as the club's first Commissioner. Dave has won two State championships with the '83 Boys and also coached the '88 & '92 teams.  Dave holds a TSSA C license and the NSCAA level 3 Goal Keeper license. Dave is an assistant varsity coach for a local high school girl's soccer team.  His structured approach to training has been met with great enthusiasm and accolades and has provided the LOBOS players a focused regimen beyond the team practice pitch.
